Craig Wright, one of the most controversial figures in crypto industry who claim to be the author of Bitcoin’s 2008 whitepaper, Satoshi Nakamoto, still believes that he’ll get the overwhelming Bitcoin fortune. He remains full of confidence, claiming that he will soon get access to his Bitcoin (BTC) fortune which is currently held in the Tulip Trust.
Notably, Wright is currently engaged in an intense court battle that started in February of 2018 against the party of his former partner and now deceased, David Kleiman. The case involves the custody of a million Bitcoin. Converting that to the current prices – this case has a rough estimate of $8 billion at stake.
Wright and Kleiman formed the Tulip Trust back when Bitcoin was still of no worthy value. In his previous interviews, Wright noted that he made the Trust as a perceptive initiative to ensure himself of some vast assets. And by the way he flaunts his assets to the media, Wright seems so sure that he will get it soon.
It is also worth mentioning that back on the 18th of January, Bitcoin SV – a cryptocurrency promoted by Wright, dropped a whopping 18% in the exchange market. This significant fluctuation in price can be blamed towards the news that the documents filed by Wright within the court may indeed contain keys, but only the public keys. The private keys he decided to keep are still within the firm grasp of the Trust.
As of the time of this writing, there is still no clear indication of whether his claims are true or if he is just boosting his morale. The current issues concerning the unstable prices of Bitcoin SV have made the case more intricate. However, Wright does not seem to be bothered by this and remains relaxed amidst pressing crypto issues.
