Incoming Senator from the Republican Party, Cynthia Lummis, has reportedly suggested for the US government to be more aware of Bitcoin (BTC) and all of its impressive properties. On the most recent episode of Peter McCormack’s “What Bitcoin Did” podcast, the senator-elect stated that once the traditional system crumbles, it is Bitcoin where the United States would most likely fall.
Lummis, who came from the crypto-supportive territory of Wyoming, says that she intends to introduce and emphasize Bitcoin in the US Congress within her senatorial stint. She went as far as stating that it is vital for the US Senate to recognize the true potential and importance of Bitcoin, especially its capability to grow alongside the currently existing fiat currencies worldwide.
As evidence of her commitment to this particular advocacy, Lummis appointed co-Wyoming raised Tyler Lindholm as the state’s new State Policy Director. Lindholm, whom many refer to as “Crypto Cowboy”, was a former Wyoming State Representative and has successfully passed several crypto-supportive legislative pieces within the state as the co-chair of Blockchain Task Force of Wyoming. Such legislations have further reinforced Wyoming’s position as an enticing blockchain business destination. Lummis recognizes this and believes that Lindholm could do better, thus employing Crypto Cowboy.
